A seven-year $ 2.495M SSHRC Partnership Grant project engages SFU and over 20 First Nations community organizations across British Columbia and Yukon These grassroots organizations represent 13 indigenous languages, most with di erent dialects: Secwepemctsin, St’at’imcets, Sm’algyax, Xaad Kil/Xaayda Kil, Kwakw’ala, Squamish, Downriver Halkomelem, Upriver Halq’emeylem, Tsilhqot’in, Tahltan, Heiltsuk, Tlingit, and Nsilyxcn comprising several language families and isolates
